Well, our car exploded and we booked a holiday. One of these was included in my budget, the other wasn’t, but it was a really good feeling to be able to afford to do what I needed to do without panicking/putting things on credit, but it was still a little disappointing not to be able to pay off my debt last month. Anyway, getting paid for a writing gig definitely helped!

So in a few days’ time I am going to do the ultimate luxurious thing: go on a planned (holiday) shopping trip with a big budget. All those boring cheese sandwiches have paid off!
